   영국에서 활동하는 애니메이션 감독.  다수의 페스티벌 등에서 수상.

세계, 지식 혹은 문명에 대한 조소, 독특한 시각.  영상은 필요한 만큼만의 세밀함과 흑백 위주 색채감과 날카롭거나 단순화시키거나 원시적 이미지로 거칠고 강렬한 시각적 느낌을 만들어냄.  Intolerance Trilogy와 Cowboy 시리즈, The Sound Of Music, Ten Commandments 등이 대표작

 

  2000년작 Intolerance는 머리와 성기의 위치가 인간과 반대로 달려 있는 외계인 zog인의 얘기를 담은 11분여 런닝타임의 애니메이션임.  이 주제를 이어 2001년에  Intolerance II - Invasion, 2004년에는 Intolerance III - The Final Solution의 3부작을 발표.

Filmography

 

Phil Mulloy was born in Wallasey, Mersseyside. He studied painting at Ravensbourne college of Art and then film at the Royal College of Art. For the next 10 years he worked as a freelance writer/Director of live action films. He began making animation in 1988.
